Some-bunny told me that it’s almost Easter. In 2023, the sweetest spring holiday takes place on April 9.
Around Central Florida, local businesses and attractions are breaking out the plastic eggs and rabbit ears as they prepare for epic Easter events. If you plan on spending Easter in Orlando, hop on down to these seven celebrations.
Easter Bunny Garden at ICON Park
ICON Park has something in store for those hoping to meet the Easter Bunny in Orlando. Every year, the I-Drive attraction hosts the Easter Bunny Garden Experience. After posing with their favorite treat-bearing rabbit, children receive a souvenir pin that grants them a free ride on the Wheel at ICON Park. Adults can purchase discounted tickets for the Ferris wheel.
Tickets will go on sale soon.
Easter Egg Hunts in Orlando
In the springtime, venues across Orlando host fun-filled (and candy-filled) egg hunts. Among the area’s unique egg hunts are:
Ocoee’s Glow-in-the-Dark Egg Hunt
The western suburb of Ocoee goes — and glows — all out on Easter.
In addition to a daytime celebration, the city hosts a nighttime egg hunt featuring glow-in-the-dark eggs. The annual event is open to kids ages 5 – 12 and is divided by age group to give everyone a fair chance at finding glowing goodies. The whole family can also enjoy crafts and games throughout the night.
Admission to the event is free — to join in, all you need to do is register online and show up with a flashlight.
Details for the 2023 egg hunt will be announced soon.
Adult Easter Egg Hunt at the Hammered Lamb
Who says that egg hunts are just for kids?
Not the Hammered Lamb, that’s for sure. Each year, the Ivanhoe Village restaurant hosts an egg hunt at the lakeside park across the street. The eggs at this Orlando Easter event are not filled with chocolates but with drink tickets, restaurant gift cards, and mini liquor bottles.
Previous years’ events also included an egg toss contest, live music, and brunch and drink specials.
Details for the 2023 event will be available in the coming weeks.
Egg-stravaganza at EPCOT
Each year, EPCOT hosts a hippity-hoppity scavenger hunt with a global twist.
To join the Egg-stravaganza, stop by Pin Central, World Traveler, or Disney Traders to buy an event map. As you eat and drink your way around the World Showcase, be on the lookout for egg sculptures with designs inspired by Disney characters. When you spot one, place the corresponding sticker on your map. Once you’ve found them all, return to one of the map vendors for a festive prize.
Last year, the scavenger hunt map cost $10.
Free Admission to the Morse Museum
Find inspiration this Easter with a visit to one of the Orlando area’s most distinctive art museums.
The Morse Museum in Winter Park offers free admission every Easter Weekend.
Between April 7 and 9, 2023, take in the beauty of the Morse’s Tiffany lamps, the largest collection of them in the world. You’ll also find galleries full of American pottery, paintings, and the work of pioneering graphic designers. End your day with a tour of the Tiffany chapel. Stained glass maven Louis Comfort Tiffany originally designed the chapel for his father’s store, the iconic Tiffany & Co.
Bonus: classical guitarist Joshua Englert will play at the museum on Friday, April 7.
Easter Sunrise Service at SeaWorld
Early on Easter morning, people around the U.S. gather for sunrise church services.
Each Easter Sunday, SeaWorld’s Bayside Stadium comes alive with powerful praise. The event features heavenly music, a nondenominational sermon, and gorgeous glimpses of the sun as it comes up over the theme park. Last year’s event was hosted by Christian contemporary music star Hope Darst.
Parking and admission to the Sunrise Service are free. Attendees who want to spend the rest of the day in the park can purchase tickets at a discounted rate.
Easter Brunch at Rosen Shingle Creek
As you enjoy Orlando’s best Easter celebrations, you’re bound to work up an appetite.
Fuel your holiday with an egg-celent feast at Rosen Shingle Creek.
Our on-site buffet, Café Osceola, will serve an exclusive Easter menu with something to satisfy every craving. Last year’s menu featured classic comfort foods like chicken noodle soup and house-smoked ham and global goodies like sushi and street tacos. And, of course, you’ll find all kinds of sweet treats, from flaky Danishes to indulgent cakes.
Sweeten the deal even more with a stay at our luxurious Orlando hotel.
