Halloween Horror Nights has haunted parkgoers at Universal Orlando Resort for over three decades.

The award-winning event will return to Universal Studios Florida for select nights between Friday, August 30, to Sunday, November 3, 2024. The separately ticketed event — prices starting at $82.99 — is recommended for gutsy guests ages 13 and older.

Feeling fearless? Here’s what you’ll find lurking in the darkness at Halloween Horror Nights in 2024.

Hair-raising Haunted Houses at Halloween Horror Nights

HHN is famous (or rather, infamous) for its themed haunted houses. Once you enter one, your only way out is through a macabre, monster-filled maze. You never know when a scare actor will jump out and give you the fright of your life. Many of the houses draw inspiration from popular horror franchises, while others are Universal’s own creepy creations.

Halloween Horror Nights Scared Guests

In 2024, there will be 10 haunted houses at Halloween Horror Nights. Universal Orlando has officially announced all 10 of the following thrilling themes:

  • Insidious: The Further, a terrifying haunted house that transports you to The Further, a fictional world from Insidious.
  • Ghostbuster: Frozen Empire, where you’ll team up with the original Ghostbusters to save the world from a second Ice Age.
  • A Quiet Place, based on the hit film, brings you to a post-apocalyptic world where you must survive being hunted by creatures that are sensitive to sound.
  • Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines brings an epic battle between a team of legendary monsters Saskia Van Helsing and the Bride of Frankenstein against Dracula’s wicked daughter.
  • Monstruos: The Monsters of Latin America has you facing off against a terrifying trio of monsters: Tlahuelpuchi, La Lechuza, and El Silbón.
  • Slaughter Sinema 2 puts you at the scene of a horror movie marathon with frightening creatures and grindhouse gore galore.
  • The Museum: Deadly Exhibits showcases “The Rotting Stone,” which decays everything it touches.
  • Major Sweets Candy Factory breeds kids into candy-coated killers on this candy factory field trip of horror.
  • Goblin’s Feast brings you to a goblin-infested village where the dinner they’re cooking up is only missing one key ingredient: YOU!
  • Triplets of Terror turns these three sisters’ birthday party into a murder fest!

Lines for the haunted houses can be scarily long. If you’re dead set on doing all 10 houses in a night, consider buying a Halloween Horror Nights Express Pass. This upgrade fast-tracks you to the front of each house’s line.

Scream-inducing Scare Zones

Think you’re safe outside of the haunted houses? Think again.

In 2024, Halloween Horror Nights will feature five scare zones. When passing through these outdoor areas, watch your back. Ghastly creatures are everywhere, waiting for unwitting park guests to cross their paths. Four of this year’s scare zones include Duality of Fear, Demon Queens, Swamp of the Undead, and Torture Faire.

Eerie Entertainment & Eats

When exploring Halloween Horror Nights, it’s easy to feel like you’re the star of your own horror movie.

Take a moment to breathe at one of HHN’s two live shows. One of this year’s shows is titled Nightmare Fuel: Nocturnal Circus. Expect otherworldly stunts, acrobatics, and sensational rock rhythms.

A selection of Universal Studios rides will stay open during Halloween Horror Nights.

Trade your chills for thrills while you board rides like Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, and Revenge of the Mummy. Lines for these attractions tend to be shorter during Halloween Horror Nights. But if you spring for a Halloween Horror Nights Express Pass, it will get you right on these rides, too.

You’re likely to work up an appetite while running through the fog.

Halloween Horror Nights Ice Cream Vendor

Luckily, there will be plenty of devilishly delicious food at Halloween Horror Nights 2024. You can get everything from colorful candy apples to fan-favorite Twisted Taters. You can also quench your thirst with creative cocktails, craft beer, and ice-cold soft drinks.

Year-round Fright Is on the Rise at Epic Universe

Halloween doesn’t last forever — or does it? The long-awaited opening of Universal’s newest park, Epic Universe, is almost here, and it’s bringing something horror lovers can enjoy all year long.

Dark Universe transports you to an eerie village known as Darkmoor, home of all the Universal legendary monsters that come out to wreak havoc annually during spooky season.

Joining their side is the next generation of creepy characters, such as Dr. Victoria Frankenstein, the great-great-granddaughter of Henry Frankenstein.

Dark Universe will feature a variety of new attractions, such as the Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience, Meet the Monsters, a family-friendly coaster called Curse of the Werewolf, and so much more.
